I’m looking forward to the weekend; these last few weeks have been wild at work. I’ve been working like a mad woman all week, so I thought I would take a small break before the rush hits again to let you all know I’m still here you just can’t see me under all this paperwork. To give you a little idea of what I’m talking about….
So far this week I’ve tested 35+ people, and taken paperwork on all of them. (This number will change because of testing today and tomorrow..)
27 people came in to do interviews. Which meant pulling all those files and making sure all their paperwork was in order and they were all entered into a database to be tracked.
I have to keep databases on all the folks I test too, which means 2 different ones for two separate people who like the information I send in different ways. Which is normally fine, but it’s a shared database on one of them (which means all our offices use it…so if one person does something wrong in it, it messes up everybody)…so after entering about 20 plus people – I go back to add some more and everything I’ve done since December has suddenly disappeared- Which does nothing for my blood pressure, our computer guys are still trying to figure out how that happened.
So I have to pull logs that I keep and go back and add these folks back in again…only to try a few names and discover it’s still messed up. So I just get annoyed and pull all my folks off the list and start a separate database on my computer. At least this way I can add folks and not get so far behind that I will never catch up.
All this plus taking applications and answering the phone and fielding questions and trying not to lose what little brain I have left.
My desk looks like a disaster area…but I think I may be sorta caught up. I have everyone in the computer that needs to test up until next Tuesday, I have paperwork caught up on them, I have all the logs and databases up to date….so far so good.
The funny part about all of this, is the newspaper didn’t post the jobs yet…..they forgot…so all these folks are just word of mouth. I’ll be snowed under again when the paper prints the jobs..
Sounds like fun doesn’t it? I’m just hanging on till the weekend…*hugs and hearts*

LOL...Well I won't even try to tell you how tired I am...LOL I told my hubby the other night don't ask me anything...if anything else goes in my brain something else is gonna have to fall out...LOL It's been wild...and next week will most likely be worse...the jobs will come out in the paper.. If you hear me crying...come quick..LOL
At least all that work makes the week go by faster!!
Tomorrow you MUST stop for a muffin at the Country Store--that's an order!!
PS Didn't the blogster team post a blog that the picture problem was all taken care of??? And here I thought I was the only one still having problems!!

To add a picture, you first have to post then revise. Crazy, huh? I don't understand the logic, but I can be a little dense at times!
Golly gee--I would be a complete basket care with your work load alone, but the problems and mess-ups--Oh me! I sure hope that your weekend will be a wonderful one. We are suppose to have warmer temperatures here.
I think it's suppose to be in the 60's here...which will be nice from the cold temps.. I don't get this post then add pictures...that's just strange...I hope they fix that quick..

Wow, wow, wow! I hear ya! You're quite the busy bee! If this is what it's like now, I can only imagine what it'll be like when the ad hits the paper! I hope you're getting plenty of rest when you're home! Hang in there, it will come to pass.

Well I get up at 5:30 am and try to read a few...and pop in when I can...Mostly lately just before and after work..it's been nuts this week...and likey to get busier...starting monday the jobs will be in the paper...I may have to send up the white flag..LOL
First have to say, I love your avatar! Hilarious! And appropriate, given your incredible work load. Girl, how the heck fast do you type?! You deserve a raise!! My non-multitasking brain and I would be so swamped and confused, I'd be reduced to lip doodling.
Glad you like the avatar, it sure fits me these days...I think I can type about 50 words a min...but it's been awhile since I had to test for it..LOL In my job if you can't multitask your in trouble...but it's been a long long week...the reports I did this afternoon showed that I saw 170 + people this week. The jobs are going to be in the paper this weekend...so I am not looking forward to Monday...LOL

OY! But I'm sure glad you can handle it 'cause I simply can't muliti-task... I end up curled up in a corner holding a letter opener like I'm gonna gut the next person who comes in view....
