I was in meetings all day Friday; the first part of the day was fairly productive. We talked about a lot of issues that the front staff face everyday. The afternoon meeting was a huge waste of time. It was on a conference call where you had to listen to the lady over the phone and follow along on the computer. It would have been really helpful if the lady knew what she was talking about….but she didn’t. But it was good to see all the folks that I use to work with. Got to see everyone and got tons of hugs and even kisses…so that is always a good day..*grins*
The drought has really taking a toll on all the trees in the area. Tree trimmers came by to cut branches and ended up cutting down the tree in my front yard. Said that due to the drought that it had died…and they were afraid if they didn’t cut it all the way down it could cause major problems later…like falling on the house or something…and I agreed yes that could be a problem…LOL But now my front yard looks naked and the cats are giving me really dirty looks.
I got all the fixings for Turkey Day here. I refused to stick my nose out the door this coming weekend…with all the “IhavetoshoptillIdrop” people out trying to run each other over. I sent Hubby to the store yesterday…told him to get rolls, chicken stock, and sausage balls. He came home with 4 pizzas, 3 cokes, and some celery. I think he may have something wrong with him …I’m not sure. He did promise to stop by the store this afternoon on the way home. I’m kind of excited to see what he comes home with.
Only 3 working days this week…wooooooooohooooooooo

I am so sorry about your tree!

I won't be going out much this weekend either. They're advertising these mad 5 a.m. sales for Friday at the mall and I'm thinking, "You have to making that up, right? No one in their right mind would want to get up that early to go shopping."[LOL]
I don't blame you one bit for staying away from the shopping centers. I'm just not into that scene anymore (could be from my days of being a retail manager)
Enjoy your turkey day!! [HEART][HEART]

There's no way I am going out shopping this Friday either. I never do. I see all these idiots on the news later that day trampling each other (literally) and fighting like primates as soon as some of these stores open their doors Friday morning. What the heck?!?!
I hope to get a chance to say this again a little closer to the holiday, but in case I don't.....Happy Thanksgiving![SMILE][HEART][SMILE]
